USEF and USDF Announce Qualifying Competitions for Dressage Championships
Lexington, KY - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) are pleased to announce official qualifying competitions for the 2008 CN North American Junior and Young Riders' Championships presented by Gotham North and UlcerGard and 2008 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Dressage Championships for the Junior, Young Rider and Young Adult "Brentina Cup" divisions. A complete list of these designated qualifying competitions is now available at www.usef.org and www.usdf.org.
"With this new approach, the USEF and USDF are now working closely to streamline the qualifying process for the NAJYRC and USEF National Dressage Championships and therefore are jointly designating qualifying competitions for 2008," said Cindy Vimont, USDF Senior Director.
Complete selection procedures for the 2008 USEF National Dressage Championships for Juniors, Young Riders, and Young Adult "Brentina Cup" divisions have now been approved and are available on the USEF website via this link: http://www.usef.org/_IFrames/breedsDisciplines/discipline/allDressage/natdressage.aspx.
Criteria for the 2008 NAJC and NAYRC have also been completed and are available on the USDF site www.usdf.org.
"We would like to thank all of the USEF and USDF councils, committees and staff members who devoted quite a bit of their time in order to make this joint project happen this year," said Jennifer Keeler, USEF National Director of Dressage. "By jointly-recognizing qualifying competitions and by finalizing selection procedures much earlier in the year, the qualification process for both of these programs will be easier for exhibitors, officials and competition management."
