USDF and USEF Announce Joint Membership Card
June 30, 2007 (Lexington, KY) - United States Dressage Federation (USDF), in cooperation with the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), announced today that USDF members, who have an active USDF participating membership and are USEF members, can now obtain one joint USDF/USEF membership card as opposed to two separate cards. The card can be accessed online and carries both of the individual membership numbers.
The new card is part of a joint USDF and USEF effort to streamline the paperwork required for exhibitor show entry and compliments the online USDF/USEF Master Verification capability made available in October 2006. The joint card may be printed on line at http://www.usdf.org/card/ .
"The online joint card adds convenience to the show entry process," stated USDF Executive Director Stephan Hienzsch. "Both federations intend to continue with cooperative efforts that result in streamlining the competition process further."
John Long, Chief Executive Officer of USEF, adds, "This is an important step in a cooperative effort with one of our larger affiliates and speaks volumes about the desire of USEF and USDF to better serve our equestrian communities. We all thank the staff of the USEF IT department for spearheading this project in close cooperation with the USDF IT staff. Our goal is to use technology to make entries as easy as possible for both members and show management"
