Monday, February 5, 2007

United States Dressage Federation (USDF) announced that Attwood Equestrian Surfaces inked a deal to sponsor Under Foot - the publication written by USDF that describes how to build, maintain and repair dressage arenas.
Attwood has been building arenas for more than 15 years, including the arenas at Gypsy Woods Farm - home of George Williams and Rocher - and the Chesapeake Dressage Institute in Annapolis, Maryland.
"As innovators of equine surfaces and engineers who specialize in utilizing the advances in technology to constantly improve equine footing, we felt this was a great project for us to be involved in," stated Attwood President Nick Attwood.
USDF Director of Marketing Linda Schultz adds, "This is a great fit. Attwood contributes additional technical expertise along with our two experts from the Competitors Council – Brad Thatcher from Applewood Farm and Jeff Fuqua from Collecting Gaits Farm."
"This booklet has been worked on by so many wonderful volunteers throughout the years and has been a benefit to horses, riders and the sport of dressage," adds George Williams, FEI competitor, USDF Vice President and editor of several editions.
Originally published in 1994, the booklet was revised in 2000 and this third printing will again be available for sale through the USDF bookstore after May 1, 2007.
